Amid Coronavirus, free video conferencing tools provided

Because of the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus, COVID-19, And the forced Shutdown of many school’s and Businesses world wide. Both Google and Microsoft have come to the rescue to help keep businesses afloat during this Outbreak. Many employee’s are forced to stay home in isolation to prevent any further spread of the disease, and as a result many businesses are suffering.

Both Google and Microsoft have provided their Users with Free copies of their conferencing software. Google has Provided free access to their Hangouts Meet video-conferencing tool. And Microsoft has provided A free 6 month trial of Teams Premium which includes A video conferencing feature.

By March 10, users will receive the free offer as the roll out will be completed. That same day, Microsoft says it will also roll out an update to the free version of Teams that will lift restrictions on how many users can be part of a team and allow users to schedule video calls and conferences.

This should allow employee’s and students to continue working amid the Coronavirus crisis without having to enter the workplace. Both Microsoft and Google believe this will allow businesses to keep running and should keep the economy flowing.
